Acharya Institute of Technology, or AIT, is a private co-educational engineering and management college in Bengaluru, India, affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Established in 2000, it offers eleven undergraduate courses and eight postgraduate courses. The college has links and collaborations with various industries and universities across the world. It is one of the several institutes run by the JMJ Education Society.
AIT organises the Acharya Habba, an annual 2 days long inter-collegiate cultural festival that is one of the largest in Bengaluru and Karnataka.
Research Centers
The Institute receives a “Modernisation and Removal of Obsolescence” grant from the AICTE for research activities and upgraded state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. The Visvesvaraya Technological University recognises the college’s departments of Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering as research centers:
Accreditation
AIT is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It was the first college of the Visvesvaraya Technological University to start an undergraduate course in Mechatronics in Karnataka.It is one of the seven colleges in Karnataka to be funded by the World Bank and receives endowments from the VTU to carry out research in both its undergraduate and postgraduate departments.

In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and other backward classes( Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the

FEES STRUCTURE 2018
There are different types of Fees structure depending upon allocation of seats under respective quota. In Karnataka there are three types of fees structure, defined below.
CET – rs. 48000/- per year
COMEDK – rs. 1,86,000/- per year
Management Quota – rs. 1.7 lakhs per year

Admissions through management / NRI quota.
All private colleges in India have some reserved seats allocated to them by the government defined as Management/ NRI quota.
These seats are given by the college on their own norms and eligibility. The colleges may charge capitation amount / development charges/ or increase in fees structure to give seats to deserving candidates. All colleges do have their own eligibility criteria, terms and conditions to give seats to respective students. The criteria and procedure varies from colleges to colleges.

Management/NRI quota is STRICTLY available only in private colleges. No government colleges is having Management/ NRI quota. Admission to the govt. colleges can done only through by clearing the entrance exams.
